I am also writing new works for a Toronto concert in April: my Strands II septet with New York musicians Mark Feldman (violin) and Gary Versace (piano/accordion) in concert at the Al Green Theatre at the Miles Nadal JCC on Wednesday April 27, 2011. WINNER OF GALAXIE RISING STAR AWARD

I have just received the Galaxie Rising Star Award for Best Composition at the Festival International de Jazz de Montreal. My tune "Dance for Leila" was selected for the award. The composition will be featured on CBC Galaxie Radio www.galaxie.ca. You can buy Dance for Leila on my Strands II CD at CD Baby or iTunes.
SUMMER 2010 ANNOUNCEMENT
Summer of 2010
My band will be performing in Canadian 2010 summer festivals, featuring our JUNO-nominated CD Strands II. We have been nominated for the TD Grand Jazz Award and the Galaxie Rising Star Award in the Festival International de Jazz de Montreal.
Also, we hope to be touring back to Europe in November. Stay tuned!
