Winner of Galaxie Rising Star AwardI have just received the Galaxie Rising Star Award for Best Composition at the Festival International de Jazz de Montreal. My tune "Dance for Leila" was selected for the award. The composition will be featured on CBC Galaxie Radio www.galaxie.ca. You can buy Dance for Leila on my Strands II CD at CD Baby or iTunes.
Summer 2010 Announcement
My band will be performing in Canadian 2010 summer festivals, featuring our JUNO-nominated CD Strands II. We have been nominated for the TD Grand Jazz Award and the Galaxie Rising Star Award in the Festival International de Jazz de Montreal.
Also, we hope to be touring back to Europe in November. Stay tuned!
March 3, 2010 -- Juno Nomination
My Strands II CD has just been nominated for a 2010 Juno nomination for Traditional Jazz Album of the Year! We will be featuring the CD on our upcoming tour across Western Canada this March.
Strands II CD chosen Canadian CD of 2009
My 2nd recording Strands II has been selected Best Canadian Jazz CD of 2009 by the Ottawa Citizen.
The band will be touring Western Canada in March to promote the recording. More tours in the summer & fall...
